What is hazardous?

Anything that has the potential to harm is termed as hazardous.

What are various types of hazards at home?

Home is a place where we keep all of our stuff including hazardous things. Such as

• Petroleum or other explosives.

• Sharp things like knife or scissors.

• Slippery floors that have the risk to slip and trip.

• Heightened objects like ladders.

• Heavy objects like machinery.

How to avoid these hazards?

Only way to keep ourselves safe and avoid these hazards is through care. We need to be very careful while dealing with such things. Take precautionary measures. Such as

• Keep the explosives away from fire.

• Handle sharp things with care and keep them out of the reach of children.

• Remove any slippery material from floor as soon as possible.

• Make sure someone is holding the ladder while you climb.

• Make sure your posture is correct while lifting heavy objects to avoid injury.
