When ethanol is heated with ethanoic acid in the presence of Conc. Sulphuric Acid, it gives ethyl ethnoate along with water. The process is called as Esterification.
The chemical equation for esterification is..

CH<SUB>3</SUB>COOH + C<SUB>2</SUB>H<SUB>5</SUB>OH ------> CH<SUB>3</SUB>COOC<SUB>2</SUB>H<SUB>5</SUB> + H<SUB>2</SUB>O.
