To write :

Balanced chemical equation for reaction between common salt, carbon dioxide and ammonia.

Solution:

Balanced Equation:

\boxed{\sf{NaCl +CO_{2} + NH_{3}+H_{2}O \longrightarrow NH_{4}Cl + NaHCO_{3}}}

Reactants:

  • Sodium Chloride : They apppear was white/colourless crystals (ionic compound).

  • CO2 : Carbon dioxide , colourless and odourless gas.

  • H2O : Liquid form , colourless and odourless.

  • NH3 : Ammonia , Colourless gas in compressed form with a pungent odour.

Equation is balanced because:

  • There is one Na and one Cl atom on both reactant and product side.

  • There is equal number of Hydrogen, Carbon and Oxygen atom on both sides.

Hope It Helps.
