Hey Dear,
◆ Balanced reactions -
(i) When NaCl is heated with sulphuric acid in the presence of MnO2, it produces MnCl2 and NaHSO4.
4NaCl + MnO2 + 4H2SO4 --> MnCl2 + 4NaHSO4 + 2H2O + Cl2
(ii) When chlorine gas is passed into a solution of NaI in water, sodium chloride is formed with liberation of Cl2 gas.
2NaI + Cl2 --> 2NaCl + I2
Hope that helped you..
