Silver Bromide is exposed to light, it decomposes to silver metal and bromine vapours.
2AgBr (s) -------------------> 2Ag (s) + Br2 (g).
In this reactions, pale yellow colour of silver bromide changes to greyish white due to formation of silver metal.
The decomposition is due to sunlight or light bulb.
This reaction reaction of silver bromide is also used in black and white photography.
