                                    Aryabhata and his work

Aryabhata was one of the pioneers in Mathematics, Astronomy and Physics. He was born in 476 BCE at Pataliputra which is present day Patna, Bihar. He wrote many theses in Mathematics and Astronomy. Many of them are lost in present days.  

Aryabhatiya is his major work which has described many aspects of Mathematics and Astronomy. This book includes many advanced mathematics theories like arithmetic, algebra, spherical trigonometry, plane trigonometry, quadratic equations, continued fractions, sums of power series and table of sines.
