I think White Tiger is a true satire which through its humor, vivid imagery and unapologetic criticism of the political and economic constructs of a namely democracy, lays bare India's deeply embedded classism. All this through the lens of an illiterate servant philosopher who identifies the ills of the society and escapes the life of Darkness by rightly justifying his wrong means. Darkness a term Adiga uses for the life of the working/poor class of India.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to understand India beyond its fun marriages, fairy tale romance or saris and jewelry. The book really does shake your conscience giving you a totally different perspective to observe things.
