Maria Sharapova is quite a strong, courageous, and resilient woman. She had to pay a great price to clinch success. She had to develop many qualities in order to secure success. She had unshakable determination and mental toughness; though there were so many obstacles, yet she never thought of quitting.
She had to make many sacrifices to achieve success in tennis. Maria paid the price in the form of loss of her mother’s love at the tender age of 10. Her father, Yuri took her to America for tennis training; unfortunately, her mother, Yelena had to stay back in Siberia because she was not issued visa. Even in America, she had to face lots of challenges. Her father could also not see her quite often as he had to work to provide for her tennis training.
Another annoying problem was the bullying of her senior tennis trainees. After training, Sharapova would go to bed early at 8 p.m. The senior tennis players would come late at 11 p.m. They would often wake her up and order her to tidy up the room and clean it. Sharapova faced all these problems courageously and determinedly.
