The Supreme Court of India is the apex of the judiciary, final court of appeal, and the highest judicial court of India. The Supreme Court of India came to existence through the Regulating Act of 1773.  The jurisdiction, powers and other roles are enlisted in the part V of the Indian constitution in articles 124 to 147.

Original Jurisdiction : Here the Supreme Court deals with disputes of the state governments, between government and states, matters involving fundamental rights. The supreme court also has the power to transfer the cases and other pending cases to the subordinate courts, and also initiate international commercial arbitration.

Appellate Jurisdiction: Supreme court hears cases when they are appealed against the high court order, or not satisfied with the high court judgements.
