• Nervous System is one of the most important system in human body.

• The nervous system of all animals are composed of highly specialized cells called Neurons which detects,receive and transmits different messages or stimuli.

• Human nervous system consists of :- Brain , Spinal Cord and the nerves.

• There are three types of Nervous system in human body , they are Central Nervous System(CNS) , Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) and The Autonomic Nervous System (ANS).

Central Nervous System(CNS)

• Central Nervous System consists of The Brain and The Spinal Cord .
• The CNS is the site of information processing and control.

Peripheral Nervous System (PNS)

• The Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) consists of all the nerves associated with the CNS.
• There are two types of Nerve Fibers in PNS , they are Afferent Fibers and Efferent Fibers.

Autonomic Nervous System (ANS)

• Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) consists of nerves that connects involuntary organs.
• They maintains the functioning of these organs.
