What is Photosynthesis?

The Process of Synthesis of food in Green Plants is called Photosynthesis. Green Plants prepare their own food by Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Water (H2O), Sunlight and Chlorophyll.

Equation for Photosynthesis =

carbon \: dioxide \:  + water \:  \frac{sunlight}{chlorophyll}   \\ =   carbohydrate \:  +  oxygen

And Chemical Equation =

CO2  + H2O  \frac{sunlight}{C55H72O5N4Mg}   \\ =   carbohydrate \:  +  O2

And, Photosynthesis is a chemical Change, Because new things are formed in the process.

\mathfrak{Answer:}

Photosynthesis:

The process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize nutrients from carbon dioxide and water.

The process of photosynthesis is commonly written as:

\tt{6CO_2+6H_2O \rightarrow C_6H_{12}O_6+6O_2}

This means that the reactants, six carbon dioxide molecules and six water molecules, are converted by light energy captured by chlorophyll (implied by the arrow) into a sugar molecule and six oxygen molecules, the products.
