Answer:

Echinoderms: 5-rayed symmetry, mostly radial. Most possess a through gut with an anus. Highly variable body shape, no head. Open circulatory system, though poorly defined. No excretory organs. Live in marine environments.

Arthropods: Live in every possible habitat. Jointed external skeleton. Pairs of jointed appendages. Bilateral symmetry.

Echinoderms :

1) Marine

2) Adults are radially symmetrical but larvae are bilaterally symmetrical

3) Respiration through dermal bronchiae, tube feet, respiratory tree or bursae.

4) Circulation by water vascular system(open type)

5) Complete digestive system

6) Specialized excretory organ absent.

7) Brain is absent.

8) Unisexual , without sexual dimorphism , external fertilization and always indirect development.

Arthropoda :

1) All habitats ( almost all )

2) Bilateral symmetry

3) Respiration by general body surface, gills, trachea or book lungs

4) Blood vascular system (open type)

5) Complete digestive system ( extracellular inside the digestive tract)

6) Excretion through malpighian tubules, green gland, coxal gland

7) Nervous system is made up of nerve ring and double, ventral and solid nerve chord.

8) Mostly dioecious. Fertilization is usually internal.

Answer:

Also, both are deuterostomes whose blastopore develops into the anus. And, both exhibit radial cleavage, which is indeterminate. Moreover, they develop through three germ layers. They develop a true body cavity known as coelom.

Echinoderms and cnidarians are quite different in many ways. Echinoderms include animals such as sea stars and sea urchins. Most live on the ocean floor, and they have radial symmetry. Cnidarians include animals such as jellyfish, and they all have stinging cells in their tentacles called nematocysts.

How can the endoskeleton of echinoderms be compared to similar structures among vertebrates, arthropods and molluscs? The skeleton of echinoderm is internal; that is, it is an endoskeleton. It is made of calcium carbonate (calcareous). ... Some molluscs have a calcareous shell that functions as an exoskeleton.
