The toy that I have held onto all these years is a doll-sized bunny. I got her as a newborn present, and she has survived almost 13 years with me and that’s a lot of years. Through the years, she has ended up in some weird places, like a dog pound an hour away. She came in the mail a week later. I do not know why, but I named her Twitchy and has stuck with it. I also do not know why I was so attracted to her. Just a stuffed bunny… but I think little kids stick with stuffed animals because they somehow get to be known as comforting in your mind. They are always there to listen to you rant about your friends or cry over things. And the best part is- they will never tell.
