Answers
You can write one of them,
1.)Shanti: Hi Carol. How are you?
Smith: Hello Shanti. Fine, thanks! How do you do?
Shanti: Very well, thank you. You seem tired. Didn't you sleep last night?
Carol: I didn't sleep well last night. So, I am tired and sleepless.
Shanti: What is the reason? Don't you know that health is essential?
Carol: I know that health is essential. Yesterday night, I couldn't sleep due to the sound emitted from the speakers.
Shanti: They are organized by the local people of your area to celebrate their happiness for the upcoming occasion Ganesh Chaturthi.
Carol: Celebrating happiness without disturbing others is appreciated.
Shanti: You are right. You can request them to switch the speakers after 10 pm.
Carol: I will do it. Nowadays noise pollution is becoming worse.
Shanti: That's true. Especially if we go out, there is a lot of noise pollution. The yanking sounds from vehicles are irritating.
Carol: Government should instruct vehicle drivers to horn if it is necessary.
Shanti: The sound from speakers and crackers are horrible.
Carol: Government should ban crackers so to prevent air and noise pollution. They should suggest a suitable time slot to play the speakers. After the time, the speakers should be switched off. If they are turned on after the time slot, people have to punished severely.
Shanti: Not only that, people have to strive to prevent and decrease noise pollution as much as possible.
Carol: It's late. I'll go home and get a sound sleep. Bye.
Shanti: Bye Carol. See you soon.
2.)Amit: Hey, have you noticed the winter season is quite short
and comes quite late?
Krishana: Yes, it is true. My parents were discussing the
same phenomenon last night!
Amit: Do you know the reason behind this climatic and
seasonal change?
Krishna: Undoubtedly, these changes are there because of the
environmental degradation due to colossal deforestation and burning of fossil
fuels! Global warming is tangible now! Earlier we just talked about it; now we
have started seeing its effects!
Amit: If this pollution is not controlled, the future is
going to be very grim. Life conditions will become unbearable! What can be done
to save our environment?
Krishna: I whole-heartedly agree with you. The only solution
to this very critical problem is people’s mass participation in saving the
environment. Mass forestation drive, and stopping the use of fossil fuels
altogether can solve this problem.
Amit: Is it possible? People are equally careless to the
environment! They violate and defy environmental laws themselves. How can it be
possible in such situation?
Krishna: Certainly it is. There are other alternative fuels
available. The government must act strictly. There should be a ban on fossil
fuels. The government must create forest belt near every city or town. Toxic
emissions of industries must be strictly regularized. This problem is
controllable. The common people must participate in the conservation of
environment. Unless they participate in the conservation programme, it is
impossible to save the degradation!
Amit: But will people cooperate with the government?
Krishna: Sure they will, who does not want to live? Besides,
we must leave a better planet for the coming generations. All that is needed is
the proper sensitization of people.
