Answer:
If Delhi's ever been blessed with something, it's the Metro network.
It's an amazing mode of public transport, very convenient(for the most part) and ofcourse, very fast.
Let's break it down.
Experience: Air conditioned travel in one of the most punctual, regular and fast means of transport Delhi has. It's very comfortable for the most part and unless you're traveling during rush hours(office hours) or from a busy station, yo'll most likely get a seat to plop down.
Connectivity: Brilliant. Connects most populated parts of the city. In progress plans would further benefit the citizens and hopefully reduce the on-road traffic. The commute to the metro station is an issue in some places as I've experienced but even that has been taken care of, to an extent, by frequent feeder buses, autos etc.
Reliability: Unless there's a major issue on the tracks-like someone jumping off(!), or a public holiday when the frequency and timings are very highly regulated, the metro is very punctual. I have timed my commute from one station to several others, it rarely differs my more than 5 minutes here or there. A lot of daily commuters can concur with me on this.
Apart from all of this, the metro has its own issues too. I, for one, find the security checks pretty lax but that's a compromise we all make for the haste in which we usually are. There have been some issues where people don't comply with the regulations-they eat on the train, sit on the seats for the elderly, barge into the women compartments(male citizens, duh!) but that's the citizens' problems.
I feel, overall, the Metro has helped Delhi attain a certain etiquette of sorts-a proper manner to travel in, some discipline which comes with the punctuality of the metro, and a lot of convenience.

Delhi Metro:How is the overall experience of travelling in Delhi Metro?
What has been your best/worst experience in Delhi Metro so far?
This happened today!
I was travelling back from Geeta colony after writing an exam.
I entered Seelampur Metro Station, dumped my bag(which was not actually mine, it was one of my friend's) into the baggage scanner machine and as soon as it came out I started walking towards the recharge counters to recharge my metro card.
Official(shouting) : Oo bhai! Ooo chashme vale ( Hey you! the one with specs)
Me : No answer (was busy solving some random question i just marked wrong.. Sigh!!)
Official : Vapas aao jab recharge ho jaye to (Get back here after you get your card recharge done)
I did my card recharge and there he was standing the whole time keeping an eye on me… then we went back
Another official : Apna bag machine mein vapas dalo (Put your bag again into the machine(I did))
Official : Thik hai, ab yahan aa jao ( Now, you come here)
And then…
Official : khud check karo apna bag aur dekho kuch nikalta hai to (check your bag yourself and see what is in there)
Me : I did … kuch ni hai papers ke alawa (nothing except some papers)
Official (Furiously) : Aapne apne bag mein ek gun chupa rakhi hai… laao mujhe do vo bag (you are hiding a gun in your bag… give that bag to me)
Me : WHAAT?? (Thinking about how much fun it is going to be, when I'll be arguing with a police officer in some police station… As i was sure nothing was inside my bag)
And then he took out a pistol from my bag! It looked like this
Damn! it was my friends cupboard key that he intentionally made it to look like a pistol.
All of the officials having a close look at it one by one
official (Holding the pistol towards me) : Nice key…. Dhishkyaaun!!
