Plastids are one of the cell organelles in the plant cell.

THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF PLASTIDS:-

1. Chloroplast- They help in the process of photosynthesis.
2. Chromoplast- They are responsible for imparting colours the parts of plants.
3. Leucoplast- The plant cell also contains some colour less plastids which are known as leucoplast.

Plastids are double membrane organelle which are found in the cells of plants and algea.Plastids are responsible for manufacturing and storing of food.These are present in certain bacteria like cyanobacteria. Three types of plastics are chloroplasts ,chromoplasts and leucoplasts.
