Dear Diary:
I felt so patriotic today during the Independence Day Celebrations at school today. Though we celebrated it one day in advance as Independence Day is usually a holiday, yet we celebrated it with great patriotic fervor. The entire school assembled at the ground. The principal hoisted the Tricolor. The national anthem echoed in the entire campus. A cultural programme had been organized. Students delivered inspiring speeches reminding us of the sacrifices made by our patriots during the freedom movement. A one act play highlighting the hanging of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev was presented that brought tears to everyone’s eyes. The group song ‘Ai Mere Vatan Ke Logo’ filled everyone with pure patriotism. At the end, the Chairman gave a speech reminding the students and the teachers of the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters and made us take pledge that we will serve our motherland, India with heart, body, and soul to bring it glory and laurels with our dignified deeds. At the end the students were distributed sweets. I really had a great time! Jai Hind.
I salute my lovely nation, India.......
