This is Shriya pati and I had appeared for the 2015 ICSE 10th board exam.Let me first of all tell you about the behind story about my ICSE exam.
As all of you know board exams are held in March but I seriously started my preparation from January.
Well I was quite well versed in maths and was known for it in my school but I used to ruin in every other subject. My parents were really worried about my performance. Even in my school no one had any kind of great expectations from me but I myself was quite confident about my success. We had three major mock exams before the boards and my results were simply disastrous in them. My overall percentage always came out to be around 75 which you can just imagine of is how dangerous. But still I was calm and seeing me my parents were really worried. Even a teacher called up home tto talk to my parents because she was the only one who had confidence in me ,my maths teacher. I got really bad scoldings for my results and was instructed by my father to concentrate only on my boards . I Had to obey him and by that time it was January.
I had no perfect notes so I had to collect them then I had a lot to study . I was very weak in grammar,literature,history and every subject I had except maths and physics. Our schools were no more there so I devoted two months to my preparation.I had set up in my mind to just score a 90.what more can u expect from a 75 % scorer?
It was Feb 29 the first day of our exam which was good not excellent . I just kept on giving exams one by one and they were finally over . I was very much satisfied with myself but I didn't have great expectations from myself. But everyone started asking me and my parents about my % but I just said everyone around95% . I know I was little exaggerating it but I had to.
I started every time calculating my % hundreds of time and it had reduced from 95 to85. But finally it was 18 the may the day of my results at 11:30 I had opened the website on my tablet,send some prayers up . My father was not there at home and my mother was in the kitchen and I was in the site of ICSE results. My heart was beating very rapidly and I typed my roll no and opened to see my result. In a first glance I saw all the the nine numbers written I could not control my feeling and shouted and went to my mother ,she asked about my % and I calculated it in my mind to be 95.3 and she was immensely happy ,I cried for some time , I called up my father,my teachers ,friends and relatives everyone to share my results .Everyone including me was shocked. After 4 hours of immense happiness a message came on my father's mobile . every year our school authority also checks our results. So it was a message from them on my success on scoring 96.5%. We were really shocked this time as how did my % increase. Then my father brought a calculator to calculate and it came out to be 96.5%.
I was in great shock of happiness.I could not be more happier than that. It was the happiest moment but I also felt a bit sad for making a mistake in my calculation skills which I am best known for. Any ways I was happy .
So people stay calm stay peaceful u,accept your defeats and that's the way one can be successful.
Its quite long but I think reading this anyone who has lost all hope can gain some confidence, and that would be my biggest reward of spending so much of time in writing this.
