Write difference between Batesian mimicry and mullerian mimicry.​

Batesian mimicry:- In this type of mimicry the organism looks like an unpleasant or poisonous organism.

Examples:-

(i) Scarlet king snake (mimic) & Coral snake (model).

(ii) Viceroy butterfly (mimic) & monarch butter fly (model).

Mullerian mimicry:- In case two or more unpaliatable species look like each other, then this type of mimicry is known as mullerian mimicry. In order to increase predictors effect warning this is done by two species

Examples:-

(i) Ctenuchid moth it resembles a wasp, where both of them are unpalatable.

(ii) Queen butterfly & monarch butterfly.

Example of Batesian mimicry are poisonous coral snake and the king snake.

Mmulleria mimicry - Müllerian mimicry, a form of biological resemblance in which two or more unrelated noxious, or dangerous, organisms exhibit closely similar warning systems, such as the same pattern of bright colours.

Example of Mmulleria mimicry are butterflies .
