Crude Death Rate (CDR):- This is the number of deaths in an area in a year per 1000 population counted at midyear, i.e.,
Crude death rate = number of deaths in one year midyear population * 1000.
Standardized Death Rate
Standardization is a method of adjustment. This is generally done for age differentials but can also be done for other factors.
