Eutrophic lake:- These types of lake are shallow water. Such types of lakes contain high amount of organic materials & nutrients. Also they have little oxygen as well and decomposers rapidly use it up. Chironomous larva are commonly present in it. eg. Dal lake of Kashmir

Oligotrophic lakes:- Such type of lakes are deep which do not have high amount of organic materials & nutrient.

Additional Information:-

1. During eutrophication due to organie matter lake become shallow and warmer.

2. Due to warming of lake water, growth of cold water organisms stop and growth of warm water organisms increases.

3. B.O.D. of Eutrophic lake is very high.
