Answer:

Metals are malleable and ductile while non-metals are brittle.

Metals have high tensile strength whil non-metals break easily.

Metals are malleable and ductile while non-metals are not.

Metals have a high melting and boiling point while non-metals don't have a high melting/ boiling point.

Metals are good conductors of electricity and heat while non-metals don't conduct electricity and heat.

Write difference between Metals and Non-Metals on the basis of physical property.

\huge\mathfrak{\underline{ \color{red}{❥ Answer}}}

Differences between Metals and Non-Metals on the basis of physical property are as follows :-

  • Metals are hard whereas, Non-Metals are soft.

  • Metals are lustrous whereas, Non-Metals are non-lustrous.

  • Metals are malleable whereas, Non-Metals are non-malleable.

  • Metals are ductile whereas, Non-Metals are not ductile.

  • Metals can produce ringing sounds and hence they are called sonorous, whereas Non-Metals cannot produce ringing sounds.

  • Metals are good conductor of heat and electricity whereas, Non-Metals are poor conductors of heat and electricity.
