Differences between Metals and Non-Metals on the basis of physical property are as follows :-
- Metals are hard whereas, Non-Metals are soft.
- Metals are lustrous whereas, Non-Metals are non-lustrous.
- Metals are malleable whereas, Non-Metals are non-malleable.
- Metals are ductile whereas, Non-Metals are not ductile.
- Metals can produce ringing sounds and hence they are called sonorous, whereas Non-Metals cannot produce ringing sounds.
- Metals are good conductor of heat and electricity whereas, Non-Metals are poor conductors of heat and electricity.
