SER:- It stands for Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum. It is called smooth endoplasmic reticulum when no ribosomes are attached to the membrane.

RER:- Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum. It is called rough endoplasmic reticulum when ribosomes are attached to it's Membrane.
