write differences between internet and intranet
nasreen61:
There's one major distinction between an intranet and the Internet: The Internet is an open, public space, while an intranet is designed to be a private space. An intranet may be accessible from theInternet, but as a rule it's protected by a password and accessible only to employees or other authorized users.

hello friend ....
thank you for asking this question.....
Intranet is internal, meaning a website, web tool, web platform that is just for employees of an organization.
There is a broad and narrow meaning: in organizations, the intranet is often seen as a website for internal communication. In other words, the employee magazine in digital form. Many organisations have now moved on and see the intranet as a form of digital workplace, sometimes referred to as social intranet. So not only as a communication tool, but also as a working tool to support business processes.
Other internal tools like CRM (customer relationship management software) or ERP (enterprise resource planning) are often not seen as intranet, though technically they are. Technically, every website within a company is on the intranet, the company's internal network. This mismatch in definition leads to confusion in projects. Make sure that your IT department and your business departments have the same meaning for the term intranet.
hope it helps you....
