acute disease are those disease which lasts for just a few days and their effect on the body is not very harsh eg. common cold
chronic disease are those disease which lasts for long time and their effect on the body is very harsh eg. AIDS

Acute disease :-

An acute disease is one which comes rapidly and can be dangerous.

It cover very soon, not have enough time to cause major effects on general health.

Example :- Common cold, strep throat etc.

Chronic disease :-

A chronic disease is one that last for a longer period of time.

It is treated in a long time and causes prolonged general poor health.

Example :- Elephantiasis, Cancer etc.
