Answer:

There are 5 types of motions :-

Translatory motion - If a body moves on the whole , from one place to another , so that all it's body parts move the same distance in a given time , it is said to be in a Translatory Motion . It is of two types :

  • Rectilinear Motion - When an object on a whole , moves along a straight path , then it is said to be in Rectilinear Motion .
  • Curvilinear motion - When an object , on a whole , moves along a curved path then it is said to be in Curvilinear Motion .

Circular Motion - When a object moves on a circular path around a fixed point, it is said to be in Circular Motion . It is of two types:

  • Rotatory Motion - When a object moves around a fixed axis then it is said to be in Rotatory Motion .
  • Revolutionary Motion - The object moving on a circular path , change Thier position on the whole from one place to another it is said to be in Revolutionary Motion .

Oscillatory Motion - When a body moves to - and - fro motion , it is said to be in Oscillatory Motion . Very fast oscillations are called Vibration.

Random Motion - The object moves irregularly and haphazardly in all possible directions. Such a motion is called Random Motion .

Simultaneous Motion - When object experiences more than one type of motion is called simultaneous Motion .
