•There are five types of digestive glands in associated with alimentary canal. They are-

- Salivary glangs: These are situated in mouth cavity wich secrets saliva. It contains an enzyme amylase. It contains a starch splitting starch amylase. The Parotid gland is the largest Salivary gland present near the nears.

- Gastric glands : These are minute disgestive glands present in the mucus membrane of the stomach. These are in the form of piits which secrets Hydrochloric acid, pepsinogen, prorenin etc.

-Liver : It is he largest organ in the body. It is soft brown and reddish in colour. -Liver secrets Bile which is temporarily stored in gall bladder.

- Pancreas : This gland is present between the stomach and duodenum. It is irregular in shape and yellowish white in colour. It secrets Pancreatic Juice which disgest Fats, Carbohydrate and protein.

- Intestinal glands : These are numerous microscopical glands present in the Wall of the intestine. It secrets Intestinal juice which contains the enzyme erepsin, maltase, sucrase and lactase.
