It was just another sunny day I was in my university when at 10:35 am, the bell had punctured the silence in the university as a tiffin break had commenced and I could see the joy of several students going out from their respective classrooms to buy their snacks. I also went to buy my snacks with my friends David tall with black hair and black eyes, Eva with blue eyes and long black hair, Matthew tall with bright-green eyes and spectacles, and with short hair.
Soon, I went inside the lift with my friends and when the lift was on the 4th floor suddenly the lights inside the lift started flickering until the lights went off and the elevator stopped. “Hey Guys, I think it’s nothing but a power cut” and everyone got panicked. My friend Kevin and others had done their best to do something but failed.
“Why don’t we try to call the emergency number from that telephone?” With my friend Eva’s suggestion, I took the telephone attached to the lift and tried to call the emergency number but failed as the telephone was broken. “If it doesn’t work, why don’t we try to press the emergency button?” With my friend, Eva’s 2nd suggestion and with some hope I pressed the emergency button but nothing happened as there was no power. So, we had to wait for hours in a hot environment as the elevator fan was not working either and my friend Gregory got so sick that he got a panic attack.
“Now, what will we do?” Matthew shouted as he couldn’t bear to see such a mournful sight and was told to do something. “But, Matthew we cannot do anything to heal Gregory but wait until anything happens.” After I told this Matthew got so angry that he was telling “So, you are telling that we cannot heal Gregory from the panic attack !!” After that Gregory fainted but after a few minutes, he was back to normal. After a few minutes, David asked “Do anyone have a watch?” and we were astonished to know it was noon and we were still stuck on the lift. David told, “What can we do now, can we do something to get outside from this lift?!”
After that, I told everyone to see if anyone had networks in their respective cellphone. “Hey Kevin, you can use my cellphone” So, I used my friend Susan’s cellphone and called my English teacher James and informed him to rescue us. After a few minutes, I heard some chaos from outside the lift and I understood that someone was outside the lift. So, we hit the door and someone was telling “Wait, don’t hit the door; we will rescue you !” So, after a few minutes, the door was opened by a rescue team and we got out of the lift with the feeling of satisfaction that we were out of the lift.
