Write down a pair of integer whose sum is -4 and differenece -11

ATQ.

let the two integers be x and y..

now, x+y = -4 ------ let it be equation 1

and,

x-y = -11. ---------- let it be equation 2

From eq. 1,

x = -4-y

From eq. 2,

x = y-11

BY EQUATING BOTH VALUES OF x , we get

-4-y = y-11

2y = 11-4

2y = 7

=> y = 7/2

now, putting the value of y in eq. 1

x + 7/2 = -4

or,

x = -4-(7/2)

=> x = -[ 4 + 7/2 ]

or,

x = -7.5

=> -7.5 and +7/2 are two integers having sum as -4 and difference as -11
