The main problems that current day farmers find themselves fighting with are

• small and fragmented land holdings,
• scarcity of capital and
• inadequate supply and facilities and its high cost.

• As we know that crops are a seasonal process and take a long time to ripe and has a lot of risks involved in it. However, loans do not cover for such risks thus plunging the farmers into more debt in care of failing crops. This is one of the major reasons for suicidal farmers In India.
