NITRATE

Nitrate undergo thermal decomposition to the metal oxide , nitrogen dioxide and oxygen gas .

These compounds are white solids and brown nitrogen dioxide and oxygen gases are also given up when heated

CARBONATES

All the carbonates undergo thermal decomposition to the metal oxide and carbon dioxide gas .The thermal decomposition describes the splitting up a compound by heating it. The carbonate requires more heating to decompose.

HYDROGEN CARBONATES

when it is heated about 80° C it begins to breakdown , forming sodium carbonate , water and carbon dioxide .This type of reaction is called thermal decomposition.
