1. Infection from water-borne diseases - Diseases such as dengue, malaria become common in places affected by floods. This is due to the logging of water in many places.  
2. Loss of livelihood and homes - Floods diversely affect the lives and living of people. Homes are destroyed, lives are lost and the daily routines of people are affected drastically.
3. Shortage of drinking water - The shortage of drinking water becomes a major concern. Though there is water everywhere, it is not drinkable.
