1.Ethanoic acid reacts with Sodium Carbonate as follows and produce Sodium Ethanoate, Carbon Dioxide and Water

2CH3COOH + Na2CO3 -----> 2CH3COONa + CO2 + H2O

2. Ethanoic acid reacts with Sodium Hydroxide to produce Sodium Ethanoate and water

CH3COOH + NaOH ------> CH3COONa + H2O

3. Ethanoic acid reacts with Ethanol in presence of concentrate H2SO4 to produce ester (ethyl ethanoate) and water

CH3COOH + CH3CH2OH + (con. H2SO4) -------> CH3COOCH2CH3 + H2O
