Inhaled and exhaled air differ principally in their composition and element proportions because both experienced different processes.___________

Atmospheric air, which we breathe, is basically composed of the following elements: Nitrogen, Oxygen, Carbonic Gas and Gaseous Water (humidity).____________

When we inhale it, as the air passes through our airways, it occurs an exchange between our cells and air, during inspiration, the atmospheric air which we inhale is exposed to CO2 formed in a constant process used for generating energy which diffuses constantly from the blood of the pulmonary capillaries into the alveoli, during process, cells will take a bit of oxygen from air and leave as a remind a little bit of CO2, also there is a significant humidification of the air.

Answer:

Inhaled air is by volume 79% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen and small amounts of other gases including argon, carbon dioxide, neon, helium, and hydrogen

  • . The gas exhaled is 4% to 5% by volume of carbon dioxide, about a 100 fold increase over the inhaled amount.
