• We have 17/8, so first of all we will see that if 17 is divisible by 8 or not.

• Clearly we can see that it is not divisible by 8.

• Now we will find the greatest number before 17 which is divisible by 8 and it is 16.

• Also 8×2 = 16.

• Now the remainder will come 1 so we add point after 2, this will make the Remainder 10.

• Again 10 is not divisible by 8 and the greatest number before 10 which is divisible by 8 is 8.

• Also 8×1 = 8.
