Pteridophyte are vascular plants i.e., plants with xylem and phloem, that reproduce and disperse via spores. The dominant phase in bryophyte is gametophyte while the dominant phase in pteridophyte issporophyte. Bryophytes have no true roots while pteridophyte have true roots.

Answer:

Bryophyta

- non vascular cryptogamic plants

- plant body is the haploid(n) gametophyte

- gametophytic plants possess rhizoids

-sporophytic plants are not differentiated into root, stems and leaves

-sorophytes are always dependent upon the gametophyte

Pteridophyte

-vascular crypotogamic plants

-plant body is the diploid (2n)sorophyte

-gametophytic plant does not possess rhizoids, except certain Pteridophytes(e.g. Dryopteris)

-sporophytic plants differentiated into root, stem and leaves

-sporophytes are always independent
