physical change - no new substance is formed, no new colour is formed,only change in shape, the substance can be brought back
example- cutting fruits
chemical change- new substance is formed,new color is formed, change in entire sunstance, the sunstanve can not be brought back.
example- mixing dough to make chapathi

Physical Change
1)No new substance is formed
2)The change is temporary and reversible.
3)There is no change in the mass of the substance undergoing this change.
4)No significant change in energy is involved.

Chemical Change
1)One or more substance with different properties and composition are formed.
2)The change is permanent and irreversible.
3)There is a change in the mass of the substance but the total mass of the substances remains constant.
4)Energy is either absorbed or evolved.
