Democratic governments are usually based on a constitution while the rest are not .Democracy opens up and stretches to the needs of all the people while the people do their activities voluntarily .
The contrary is dictatorship .The non democratic type of government dictates the way in which the people are supposed supposed to conform with the rules of their leaders and do what they want .In such activities the leaders can make appointments on their successors or lay down strategy to ensure heredity of leaders.
