Fleming's left hand rule: stretch d thumb, centre finger n forefinger of ur left hand mutually perpendicular to each other in such a way that ur forefinger points in d direction of magnetic field, centre finger in d direction of current then d direction in which ur thumb will point determines d direction of the rotational kinetic energy.
it's used to indicate d direction of motion of a motor.

right hand rule : stretch ur right hand mutually perpendicular to each other in such a way that ur forefinger points in d direction of magnetic field, thumb in d direction of motion, then the direction in which ur centre finger will point will give u d direction of d induced current.
it's used to determine d direction of induced current in generators. Also called "the DYNAMO RULE".

Right hand thumb rule was proposed by MAXWELL.
it states: hold the conductor in such a way that ur thumb points in d direction of current then d curling of ur fingers will determine d direction of the magnetic field.
Also called "CORKSCREW RULE "!!!!!
