HappyDussehra

Dussehra, a festival celebrated by the name of Vijayadashami, is celebrated with great joy all over India by the Hindu religion. It falls 20 days before Diwali every year in the month of September or October. This festival is celebrated in the joy of Ram's victory over the demon king Ravan. The festival of Dussehra is celebrated as a symbol of the victory of good over evil. Dussehra is being celebrated from the day Lord Rama killed Ravan. This practice has been going on since ancient times.

In ancient times, King Ram was sent to exile from his kingdom Ayodhya for 14 years. In the last years of exile, Ravan killed Sita. It is said that Rama's brother Laxman had cut off the nose and ears of Ravan's sister, due to which Ravan kidnapped Sita, the sister-in-law of Laxman. People celebrate this festival with great joy and enthusiasm.

Dussehra is the festival of the victory of good over evil. Ramlila is organized on this day. On Dussehra, effigies of Ravan and Kumbhukaran are burnt. Fairs are organized on this day, the markets are decorated. On Dussehra, there is a holiday for schools and government offices. This festival is celebrated in India as well as other neighboring countries.
