limitations of Rutherford's model :
☞ Rutherford's model was unable to explain the stability of an atom.
☞ Rutherford proposed that electrons revolve around the nucleus in the fixed orbits.
Hope it helps ❣️

Answer:
- According to Rutherford 's model of an atom, electrons revolve around the nucleus in a circular path. But electron revolving in a circular orbits will not stable because during revolution, they experience accelerated charges particles emit electromagnetic radiation, they will lose energy in the form of radiation, which will lead to shrinking of the orbit and thus will fall into the nucleus. In such cases, the atom would be hardly unstable and would collapse.
- The model also failed to explain the distribution of electrons around the nucleus.
