1/f = 1/v + 1/u

where f= focal length

v= image distance

u = object distance

Mirror formula is relationship that combines image distance ,object distance and focal length of the mirror . Here u=object distance as measured from pole of the mirror and V=image distance and f being the focal length of the mirror.
