An image viewer that comes with the Windows NT family of operating systems is called Windows Photo Viewer.
- Under its previous name, it was initially bundled with Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. Windows Photo Gallery temporarily took its place in Windows Vista, but it was restored in Windows 7.
- Imaging for Windows is a success thanks to this program. Although it can be restored, it has been deprecated in favor of a Universal Windows Platform app called Photos in Windows 10.
- With Windows Photo Viewer, you can view individual photos, view all the photos in a folder as a slide show, rotate photos by 90 degrees, print photos directly or through an online print service, send photos via email, or burn photos to disc. Images in the BMP, JPEG, JPEG XR (previously HD Photo), PNG, ICO, GIF, and TIFF file formats are supported by Windows Photo Viewer.
