There are only four dichloro derivatives of propane are possible -

(i). 1,1−Dichloropropane  =>  CH$_{3}$CH$_{2}$CHCl$_{2}$

(ii). 2,2−Dichloropropane   =>  CH$_{3}$CCl$_{2}$CH$_{3}$

(iii). 1,2−Dichloropropane  =>  CH$_{3}$CH(Cl)CH$_{2}$Cl

(iv). 1,3−Dichloropropane  =>  ClCH$_{2}$CH$_{2}$CH$_{2}$Cl

• Propane is used for water heating . It is also used as a fuel for vehicle and engines .
• It is less harmful than fuel oil for the environment .
