\huge\bf\orange{Fuse}

Principle;

The fuses work on the principle of the heating effect of the current. Fuse is always connected in series with the electrical circuit. When the excessive current or heat is generated due to heavy current flows in the circuit, the fuse melts down due to the low melting point of the element and it opens the circuit.

Application;

Fuses help prevent dangerous situations, such as fires, from occurring. With their main objective to protect circuit systems, they do not interrupt normal functions and are rather an extra preventative low resistance component.

\huge\bf\orange{MCB}

Principle;

The thermal operation of the miniature circuit breaker is achieved with a bimetallic strip whenever continuous overcurrent flows through MCB, the bimetallic strip is heated and deflects by bending. This deflection of the bimetallic strip releases a mechanical latch.

Application;

The very basic uses of MCB is that it is used to protect a circuit (wiring, connected load and equipments etc) in case of: Short Circuit, Over Current, Over Load, etc.

Answer:

MCB will automatically switch off the power supply during overload and faults and provide short circuit protection. Fuse is an electrical device for overcurrent protection. ... Fuse will melt and open the power supply circuit when a high current flows through it.

hope u like this.....

Hope my answer helps you mate :-)

thank u
