It is because Taj Mahal is a fine blend of Indian and foreign style of architecture. It is a pinnacle of Mughal architecture. It was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (1628-1658) , in the memory of his queen Arjumand Bano Begum . It took 17 years for the monument complex to be completed in 1648.
