Explanation: diaphragm is a muscular sheet under the rib cage. during inhalation the ribs move up and diaphragm flatness and the movement increase space and air rushes into the lungs.but when during exhalation the process are vice versa , rib cage moves down and diaphragm come to the original position.This movement reduces the space and air is pushed out of the lungs
