During cellular metabolism CO2 is produced. Blood carried CO2 in lungs and during expiration CO2 is eliminated from the lungs.
ROLE OF SKIN IN EXCRETION
Skin contains sweat gland which secretes sweat. Some amount of urea, lactic acid, salts mainly NaCl and extra water is eliminated as sweat from the body through skin.
Lungs and skin are known as accessory excretory organs.
