Steps for preserving the Mint leaves:
- The mint is harvested. The mint is cut in the morning using “garden pruners or by sharp knife”. We have to dry the mint.
- The mint is to be out on paper towel. Then, layout the "mint in single layer on paper towel" and allow the stem and leaves to dry for another hour or two.
- We have placed the bunch of mint in “salad spinner and dry” the visible water off using this device.
- The leaves are cut off with your fingers. You can also cut them off with sharp knife.
- Inspection of the leaves for damaged or diseased is done as you eliminate them. We have to discard any bad leaves and keep all the leaves in good condition.
