Open the PowerPoint presentation to which you will add the slide transitions. Click the “Transitions” tab.

Select the effect to add as the slide transition. Slide transitions include Split, Fade, Push, Cut and Wipe. The transitions include an accompanying icon that represents the effect of each. Scroll down in the Transitions menu for more effect options. Click the transition effect to add it to a slide. Preview the slide transition by clicking “Preview.”

Click “Apply to All” to add the chosen slide transition to all slides in your presentation. A change that affects all slides in a PowerPoint presentation is referred to as a global change.
